An "extended" stamp

USCIS will extend Covid-19 measures that allow applicants and petitioners to submit certain USCIS responses up to 60 days after the stated due dates.  The extension will be allowed through March 23, 2023, and applies to certain requests or notices issued between March 1, 2020, and March 23, 2023, as long as they are received within 60 calendar days of the allocated due date.

The extension applies to:

  • Requests for Evidence; Continuations to Request Evidence (N-14); Notice of Intent to Deny; Notice of Intent to Revoke; Notice of Intent to Rescind; Notice of Intent to Terminate regional centers; Notice of Intent to Withdraw Temporary Protected Status; and Motions to Reopen an N-400, Receipt of Derogatory Information After Grant.
  • Form I-129B (Notice of Appeal or Motion), or Form N-336 (Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings), if the form is filed 90 calendar days from a USCIS decision, and the decision was made between November 1, 2021, and March 23, 2023.

This is expected to be the final extension of these modifications. Requests or notices received after March 23, 2023, must comply with the original request requirements listed.
