Ian E. Scott recently presented to students in an Entrepreneurial class. The presentation summary is as follows: Legal Considerations for a start-up walks through the the new business legal implications of two students who have developed a mobile application that may change the world. The legal business topics covered include company formation and selection of the best business entity, partnership agreements, intellectual property considerations, tax considerations and SEC and other issues associated with raising capital in the United States. One of the students is a foreign national so her immigration visa options are also explored including a review of E-2, H-1B, O, EB-5 and B immigration visas. Part 1 Below:
