USCIS has announced today that it is planning to reopen local offices on June 4. On March 18, USCIS temporarily suspended all in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers as a response to COVID-19. USCIS officers are only providing emergency in person appointments at this time while all other regular interviews and appointments are cancelled with notices that they will be rescheduled.

Applicants who have had their appointments cancelled will soon receive notices with rescheduled appointments, interviews, and naturalization ceremonies. USCIS asylum offices will automatically reschedule appointments and asylum applicants will receive a new interview notice with a new time, date, and location of the interview. Those who had Infopass appointments must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center, the appointments will not be automatically rescheduled.

This current plan to reopen on June 4 is tentative, depending on the situation, USCIS may push this date out further. Please check first to see if your local and respective offices have reopened by calling the contact center.
