Coronavirus Update: President Trump Promises to Temporarily Suspend Immigration into the US

President Trump tweeted on Monday that he will sign an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the U.S. The purpose of the order is to protect American jobs and a means of combating the coronavirus outbreak. At this time, there is no additional information available. Whether this will impact both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, how long this suspension will last, whether or not there are exceptions to the order, and any other additional information is unknown at this time. There are some rumors in reports that the suspension is likely to last 120 days and agriculture and health care workers will be exempt. There are also reports that the executive order is unlikely to bring much changes to current coronavirus restrictions that are already in place, please see links below.
