The European Commission has advised European Union countries to allow entry to travelers from 15 countries starting July 1. These countries include the following:

South Korea
Thailand Tunisia Uruguay Vatican City China (if EU travelers will be allowed to reciprocally enter Mainland China) |
The recommendation is non-binding, and individual EU and Schengen Area countries will now decide whether to follow this advice. Notably, the United States is not included on this list. U.S. citizens and residents who would like to travel to countries in the EU must either wait until the ban is lifted or travel to another country currently not on the ban list and wait for sufficient time before attempting to enter the EU. United States’ travel ban on residents from Schengen countries and the United Kingdom and Ireland from March 2020 is still in place.
