USCIS field office in Las Vegas approved an I-751 petition and N-400 citizenship petition for our client. Our client originally obtained his conditional 2-year green card based on his marriage to a US citizen. We then filed an I751 petition to remove the conditions on his green card and inter-filed the N-400 petition once our client began eligible to apply for US citizenship (spouses of US citizens can apply for citizenship 3 years after obtaining their conditional green card). USCIS combined the I751 and N400 interviews and approved both petitions.
Navigating the transition from a conditional green card to full permanent residency—and ultimately to U.S. citizenship—can be complex, but you don’t have to do it alone. At Scott Legal, we have extensive experience with I-751 petitions and naturalization applications, including combined interviews like this one. If you’re approaching your three-year or five-year eligibility mark, schedule a consultation with us today to ensure your case is handled with precision and care from start to finish.
