Yongki Hong, Esq.

Senior Associate

Yongki Hong is a business immigration attorney best known for his strategic handling of complex and high-stakes RFEs, audits, and immigration appeals. Over the past 15 years, he has developed and executed successful response strategies for some of the most challenging and complex Requests for Evidence in employment-based immigration, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, O-1, and EB-2/3 petitions. His approach is practical, precise, and grounded in a deep understanding of USCIS adjudication patterns and evolving agency policies. In addition to RFE response strategy, Mr. Hong is also highly experienced in representing clients before the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA).

Mr. Hong previously served as Head of the U.S. Immigration Department at a premier immigration consulting firm based in the United Kingdom. In that role, he led global mobility and cross-border immigration projects, primarily focused on E-2, L-1, and EB-5 visa strategies. He worked closely with corporate clients in industries such as IT, engineering, and life sciences, guiding them through the legal and procedural steps of establishing new business operations in the United States.

He also advises companies on I-9 compliance, E-Verify registration, and long-term immigration planning for key personnel. He is especially effective in early-stage consulting for foreign-owned startups and midsize enterprises seeking to scale U.S. operations while managing immigration risks. His strength lies in coordinating short-term visa strategies with long-term immigration goals—whether for an individual talent or a corporate team.

Mr. Hong earned his J.D. from Albany Law School and holds a B.A. in Psychology, magna cum laude, from Adelphi University. He is bilingual in English and Korean and has elementary proficiency in Japanese. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
